I've got great news guys! Lindsay and I will officially be skipping the whole day of school on May 6th to teach at Grundy! All of the teachers thought that our idea was inspirational and they would love for the students to be inspired, too! Lindsay and I are creating the activities this weekend to present to the different classes throughout the day! More updates coming soon!
Lauren Miller Hey guys! My name is Lauren Miller and this is how Lindsay Knepp and I got started on our movement, Hunger in Africa. For Genius Hour in Geography, Lindsay and I decided to work together because we have always interpreted ideas the same way. Genius Hour is where you take a topic, elaborate on it, and then present it to the class. We obviously choose Hunger in Africa. The topic has become so much more than a good grade to us, and it has become very close to our hearts. For LA class, we chose the same topic, but we made it bigger: making the community aware about Hunger in Africa. since you are reading this now, a small portion of the community is being educated already! Recently, we had a meeting with our former elementary school teacher to see if we could float around from classroom to classroom teaching. He agreed and is setting up a date for us as we speak! Hopefully we will be able to receive money to donate to Unicef through a Root Beer Sale there, too! Any questions? Just click on the contact tab and email Lindsay or me for answers!
